Petromat
Petromat is a non-woven polypropylene fabric which, when used with a hot asphalt tack, provides a strengthened layer between existing damage and new pavement.
The additional strength becomes a barrier to water damage and accidental surface cracks while reducing the softening of the sub-grade. Petromat is installed under 1 ½ -2” of new hot asphalt over a wide-spread area, like a parking lot.
